Regulatory Counsel

My client is global business headquartered in London but with offices across the globe and they are looking for a lawyer to join as a number 2 within their legal compliance/regulatory team.

The role will have direct line management responsibility for 3 junior team members and look after regulatory issues in the EMEA region.

The business is regulated by the FCA and the main areas of concern for them are AML and Sanctions but ABC and competition will also form part of the work.

They are looking for someone who can help manage the workload and support the junior team members so some experience of managing/mentoring or a real interest in doing this will be vital.

They are open minded about backgrounds and will consider people coming direct out of private practice regulatory teams or other in house roles from a similar function. This could be financial services or another regulated industry.

They offer a really great working environment and getting the opportunity to directly manage people is something that you don’t see in that many roles.

Ideal experience profile is 3-6 PQE but there may be some flex for the right person.
