Lead Credit Modelling Data Analyst

A leading financial institution, is seeking a lead analyst to join the data management team within credit analytics to support the model development process as a data analyst.  The wider team are responsible for developing, implementing, and executing a range of statistical and econometric models that support the bank’s wholesale and divisions. This role will support the efforts of capital (AIRB) and IFRS9  models and will manage a small team of analysts.

Key areas of responsibility are as follows:

• Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis and preparing insightful advice for business consideration
• Carrying out governance and control activities including deliverables tracking, reviewing or preparing meeting minutes, reporting on process and control environment and managing control remediation activities
• Leading the delivery of regulatory-compliant data for credit modelling
• Delivering change that enhances the efficiency or effectiveness of Credit Insight and Analytics analytical output

Candidates could come from a variety of backgrounds, most likely credit modelling, credit risk, credit data or similar.  Key skills needed – understanding of the credit modelling process and the data requirements for the same, good technical skills (Python/SAS/SQL/AWS), some experience working on projects either as an SME or BA.
