Head of Internal Audit

  • London
  • £90-100,000

We have a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding and exciting company as their first Head or Internal Audit. The Head of Internal Audit is responsible for coordinating the Risk Management Plan and the Integrated Assurance Plan which formalises assurance activity carried out by the second line of defence and Internal Audit.

Reporting to the CFO and Audit & Risk Committee, you will ultimately be responsible for planning and delivering a quality internal audit service, and setting the strategy for auditing activities within the business. This will involve maintaining an oversight over control effectiveness through appropriate ARC committee attendance, and recommending solutions to specific business areas.

You will use your excellent stakeholder skills to help develop and maintain high-quality, long-term relationships across the organisation through regular contact with senior executives and managers.

To be considered for this role you will hold a full relevant qualification (CIIA, ACA, ACCA), and have demonstrable experience working at this level within another commercial organisation. Due to the sector of the organisation, they have a preference for those from a manufacturing, utilities, engineering and energy sectors, and will not be interested in candidates purely from a financial services background.

You must also have full entitlement to work in the UK (alongside UK experience), as they are unable/unwilling to sponsor.

On offer is a competitive salary, good wider benefits package and the opportunity to work in a hybrid fashion. Typically with half your time spent in London, half remote. There will also be a requirement for some UK travel in the South East, however this is low.

We are expecting a high number of applications for this role, so apologies if there are any delays in following up on your application.
