Barclay Simpson have been engaged by a large international energy business to recruit for the newly created position of ESG Reporting Manager. This role will require you to go into their office near Slough 2 days/week with very occasional travel to Europe.
Whilst this role sits within the Finance function, you will be solely focused on creating and implementing a new ESG Governance Framework from scratch, and managing ESG reporting. This will involve working with all areas of the business, and their subsidiaries, to assess the impacts of new and emerging regulations, define what data will be reported on and how that data will be collected. You will act as an internal advisor and business partner, and provide training to relevant stakeholders on ESG regulatory matters.
You must have a strong knowledge of ESG regulations for UK & Europe (e.g. TCFD, CSRD etc) and have a real passion for the subject matter. Preferably you will have experience in establishing & implementing an ESG Framework from scratch. Candidates looking to make their first move from Practice may be considered. ESG Auditors without exposure to implementation wouldn’t be suitable.
The salary package on offer is £75,000-£96,500 + bonus (20%) + excellent pension + package.
