Director – Quant Developer, Cross-Asset Analytics Platform | Top Investment Bank

London | Hybrid | Full-time

Salary range £350k – £500k total comp.

A top-tier investment bank is seeking a Director-level Quant Developer to lead the development of a brand new cross-asset front office analytics platform for Sales teams.

This hands-on leadership role combines system design, development, and stakeholder engagement, and will be pivotal in enabling real-time decision-making and analytics within the front office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a cross-asset analytics platform to empower front office Sales personnel with advanced tools.
  • Engage directly with Sales users and senior stakeholders in Sales and Trading to define platform requirements and gather feedback.
  • Report platform progress and strategic direction to senior management and propose improvements based on user feedback and market trends.
  • Design system architecture and develop associated APIs for seamless integration.
  • Hands-on development of both backend and frontend components, focusing on Python and React.
  • Ensure platform alignment with strategic firm-wide initiatives by collaborating with partners across Technology teams.

What We’re Looking For:

  • PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field (e.g., Applied Math, Computer Science, Stats).
  • 8+ years of experience in front-office development, ideally in a major investment bank.
  • Proven expertise in Python development and building APIs for commercial platforms.
  • Hands-on UI development using modern frameworks like React/TypeScript (or similar).
  • Experience designing and delivering analytics tools directly to Sales/Trading professionals.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and ability to engage with senior management.
