Deputy Head of Legal

My client is looking for a seasoned lawyer with management experience and good knowledge of trade finance to join them on a 12 month Fixed term contract to cover the for the incumbent who is about to go on maternity leave. The plan is to try and get this person to join in early Q1 for a period of handover before the person goes off on maternity leave.

The business offers trade finance options to their clients and is very established in their field. They are a specialist firm based in the City rather than a bank who offer this as a small part of their offering.

The role would report to the Head of Legal and would manage 2 Senior Legal Counsels and 1 junior lawyer so prior experience of management would be advantageous.

The team is generally in twice a week and the overall work life balance is good. The work is varied and interesting and both the team and business are very well regarded.

They need someone who can join early into q1 2024 and who can commit for the full 12 months.

We have worked with this client for a while and they offer competitive pay and have an excellent suite of benefits. Their preference is to do this as a salaried FTC but reasonable day rates will be considered.
