Cloud Security Engineer
This leading financial services firm currently has an opportunity for a cloud security (AWS) engineer to join its established security division.
In this role, you will ensure the company’s AWS estate is built safely, stays safe, and produces the right security data so problems are spotted quickly.
The role will see you delivering cloud security integration projects and BAU activities, as well as providing technical guidance to the cloud engineering teams.
Specific responsibilities include building and improving AWS services such as CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Control Tower etc, automating security checks, creating playbooks/technical processes, improving AWS logs in the SIEM, and involvement in AWS incident response tabletop exercises.
The successful candidate will have good AWS experience (hands-on and certifications) plus good IaC and Terraform knowledge. You may have worked in a dedicated cloud security engineering role previously, or you might be looking to move into security from a cloud ops/cloud engineer or DevOps background. Someone who has worked in network security or SOC engineering previously and has worked with AWS would also be a suitable background. The ideal candidate will have experience with light Scrum/Agile methodologies and will have worked with JIRA.
This is a remote role with a salary of £60-66k base + on target 10% bonus + good benefits.
