Bid Manager (Must be eligible for Security Clearance)

Our client, a large defence and aerospace company are looking for a Bid Manager to join their growing team to cover all aspects of the planning, execution and delivery of proposals that are delivered to their customers. This will involve leading & managing the Bid/Proposal Team through all Bid/Proposal aspects of capture activities, including, budget administration, resource & facilities estimation & development & execution of the Bid/Proposal Management Plan

Skills/Competencies required

• Must be Eligible for Security Clearance (SC)
• Defining/tailoring & implementing Bids/Proposals processes to fit opportunities
• Identifying & capturing requirements to determine the appropriate storyboard & development activities
• Scheduling/organising key Bid/Proposal reviews to assure proposal quality & compliance, together with consistency across the proposal & associated plans & review material
• Managing the business approval process, any security & export approvals & the final editing, production & Proposal delivery arrangement.
• Ensure configuration control of key proposal documentation is accurate
• Effective communication to key stakeholders
• Managing  activities through to contract award
• User of Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Power Point , Project & Excel
• Strong Stakeholder management & influencing skills
• Experience working in a large complex enterprise environment

Desirable skills

• Awareness of the Shipley Business Winning principles or LCM governance or a similar type of process
• Knowledge of working on campaigns for MOD contracts highly desirable
• Understanding of terminology, timelines and procurement process
