My client is a global insurance broker looking to grow out their company secretarial team with a new hire. They are looking to recruit an Assistant Company Secretary to be part of a three person team. This role will support the Deputy Co Sec and the Group Co Sec in ensuring a well run governance department.
The role will support on all areas including general corporate governance, compliance, board & meeting support, record keeping and filing and anything shareholder related.
They are a great team who will be able to offer lots of support and the business enjoys an excellent relationship with them. The company offers good flexibility as well as genuinely interesting work alongside the quality of the team you would support.
Because of the global nature of the company you will have the chance to be exposed to a number of jurisdictions which should ensure there is constantly things to learn.
The company is base din the City of London and can offer good flexibility but this is not a fully remote role. The work life balance is sensible though and the people in the business are generally lovely.
They are looking for someone with around 3 years experience in a company secretarial role with experience of attending and minuting Boards and/or Committee meetings. and you will have ideally either started or be wanting to start studying for the relevant professional qualifications. There will be plenty of support to learn and develop. Exposure to insurance would be advantageous but not a prerequisite.
