Security Architect

Leading FinTech firm seeks a highly collaborative Security Architect to drive forward the build out of their AppSec function.

This is not a technical AppSec role but rather a role for someone with an understanding of the SDLC process who is, most importantly, able to work with other teams such as infrastructure, solutions architecture, and dev teams to get decisions made in a timely manner. You will be used to working in a fast-paced financial services environment, collaborating with an array of cross-functional teams (and the regulator where required) to design, implement and maintain security controls for the firm’s applications.

You will have the opportunity to manage a small team.

The successful candidate will have worked in a regulated environment – either financial services or CNI – and will have an understanding of the principles of application security architecture, as well as being knowledgeable across industry standards e.g. OWASP Top 10, NIST and SANS.

The firm is unable to offer a fully remote contact as your contract must be tied to the office local to you (there are offices all over the UK), however you will not be expected to come into the office except for the occasional team meeting a few times a year.

Base salary £90-110k + benefits + bonus.
