Sourcing A Temp/Contract Chief Risk Officer for An SaaS Fintech

Opportunity

10x – sensitive situation in that they wanted to replace their current Chief Risk Officer with immediate effect, which meant that we had to discreetly source immediately available senior Chief Risk Officers with FinTech  experience who had excellent stakeholder management skills, who could also bring together a fragmented risk team and embed a risk management framework across the rapidly growing business.

Approach

By understanding the business as well as the technical skills and cultural fit that was required, we discreetly reached out to our senior interim network and targeted those who had headed up a risk function in a FinTech organisation. We then pre-screened the prospective interims with regards to their leadership style and experience of implementing a risk management framework.

Outcome

We were able to provide a very strong panel of candidates within less than 48 hours. The shortlist was diverse in its representation of male and female candidates and provided a range of candidates from different background (some from FS and some from industry). We were able to set up interviews very quickly and a suitable candidate was identified and offered within the clients’ very tight timeframes.
