Operational Risk Analyst

  • Up to £75,000 + Discretionary Bonus

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Operational Risk Analyst to join one of the leading global Asset Managers based in London. The successful candidate will provide Operational Risk Oversight, enable pre- and post-trade controls, and collaborate with the Global risk functions in all regions. The primary focus of this role is around incident management. You will contribute to Equities Risk objectives whilst facing off to the Portfolio Managers.

 

The Job:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the organisations Investment Management function and partner with Portfolio Managers on a global basis to help achieve investment success.
  • Support the Operational Risk team’s oversight of front office Portfolio Management trading activity.
  • Ensure daily pre- trade and post trade system alerts and warning are addressed accurately and remain in adherence to investment mandates.
  • Oversight of Operational Risk incident management process.
  • Identify Operational Risk trends associated with the Portfolio Management process and develop risk mitigation strategies for future improvements.
  • Improving the core global risk management frameworks and enhancing regional risk governance processes and workflows.
  • Proactively and independently, lead the development and implementation of action plans to remediate key risks to global investment management processes.
  • Participate and lead in special project.

 

Your Experience:

  • Strong and demonstrable experience working within Operational Risk
  • A background working in the Investment Management space will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of UCITS investment guidelines
  • Experience interacting wit Portfolio Managers is desirable
  • Experience working across Front-Office, specifically within Equities
  • Knowledge of Charles River, Bloombery, or Order Management Systems is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, strong stakeholder management experience and ability to say “no”.
