What you’ll do

You’ll take the lead on all aspects of data protection and privacy, owning and developing the organisation’s framework in line with regulatory requirements.

You’ll review the current setup, identify gaps, and build a clear, forward-looking roadmap aligned to the company’s growth strategy – particularly as its regulated financial services offering continues to expand.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll act as a trusted advisor across the business, influencing decision-making and embedding best practice in data protection.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance strategic oversight with practical delivery, ensuring compliance while supporting commercial objectives.

What you’ll need

• CIPPE qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong expertise in data protection and privacy, including GDPR
• Experience working in an FCA-regulated environment (ideally consumer finance)
• Experience in a scale-up or evolving business environment
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
