Top-tier Firm – AI Engineer – NYC
We are partnering with a top-tier firm based in New York City that is expanding its artificial intelligence capabilities and is hiring an AI Engineer to play a central role in this effort.
This position sits at the intersection of technology and investment strategy. You will act as the primary AI specialist supporting senior investment teams, owning the design and delivery of AI-powered solutions used directly by decision-makers across the firm.
What You’ll Be Doing

Architecting and deploying AI-, machine learning-, and large language model–based systems that enhance research and investment workflows

Building intelligent applications such as conversational agents, internal copilots, and automated tooling used by front-office professionals

Developing advanced LLM pipelines, including retrieval-based architectures, function orchestration, and integrations with internal data platforms and services

Taking AI initiatives from early research and prototyping through to production deployment, primarily using Python

Partnering closely with investment and domain experts to surface high-impact use cases and translate them into scalable AI solutions
What We’re Looking For

An advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related discipline

Strong Python development skills and experience building production-grade systems

Practical experience with modern LLM ecosystems, including frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, vector databases, and leading LLM APIs

Prior exposure to financial services or investment environments is a strong plus, but not mandatory
