A leading global investment bank is seeking a VP level Algo Quant to join its Front Office FIC (Fixed Income & Currencies) Quant team in Paris. The role supports algorithmic trading across Rates, Bonds and FX, working closely with traders, strats and technologists. (Will also look at strong AVP)

This position sits within the FIC e-trading and quantitative development environment and focuses on building, optimising and maintaining trading and execution algorithms used directly on the desk.

  • Salary negotiable for the right candidate
  • 4 days in the office. May change to 5 days in Q426
  • New recruits may spend more time at the office the first 6 months

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and enhance execution algorithms across Rates, Bonds and FX

  • Use market microstructure insights to optimise trading logic

  • Build automation for quoting, hedging and order management

  • Analyse execution quality, performance and slippage

  • Collaborate with traders, quants and engineering teams to refine strategies

  • Contribute to e-trading platform enhancements and systematic tooling

What we’re looking for:

  • 3-10 yrs Experience as an Algo Quant, Quant Developer or E-Trading Quant

  • Strong programming skills in Python and C++ (low-latency experience is a plus)

  • Strong knowledge of market microstructure

  • Understanding of Rates, Bonds or FX products

  • Experience with execution optimisation, signal research or algorithmic design

  • Master’s or PhD in Maths, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or similar
