Cloud Security Consultant

Cloud Security Consultant required for regulator. You will ensure AWS and Azure cloud platforms are securely designed, configured, and aligned with governance standards.

You’ll define and review cloud security frameworks, assess risks, and automate security controls. This is a hands-on role working closely with cloud architects, DevOps, and compliance teams to embed strong security across our cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement cloud security assurance frameworks for AWS and Azure.
• Review cloud platform roadmaps and designs to ensure secure implementation.
• Align cloud environments with governance standards like NIST 2.0.
• Identify and manage cloud-related risks using security risk frameworks.
• Develop and apply secure cloud architecture patterns.
• Support and review Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Automate security controls using Azure Defender, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and other native tools.
• Work with teams to embed security into cloud projects from the start.

What You’ll Need

• Strong experience with AWS and Azure cloud security.
• Good understanding of cloud architecture and design principles.
• Familiarity with NIST 2.0 or other security governance frameworks.
• Experience in risk management and assessing cloud security risks.
• Practical knowledge of Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
• Experience with security automation and native monitoring tools in Azure and AWS.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
