Manager – IT Governance

A fast-growing investment firm based in Frankfurt is looking for a motivated IT Governance & Information Security Manager to support the build-out of their first-line technology risk and security function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a few years of experience in IT Risk, Governance, or Information Security, looking to step up and contribute to a greenfield build-out in a highly regulated financial environment.

Role Details:

Title: IT Governance & InfoSec Manager (First Line)

 Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of IT Governance frameworks and controls

• Assist in aligning policies and processes with DORA, BaFin, and industry standards (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST)

• Help manage IT risk registers and ensure ongoing risk assessments

• Work closely with technology teams to ensure security and compliance requirements are met

• Collaborate with second-line and audit teams on governance reviews and reporting

• Contribute to the build-out of documentation, workflows, and reporting mechanisms

 Ideal Candidate:

• 2–5 years’ experience in IT Governance, IT Risk, or InfoSec roles

• Solid understanding of regulatory environments, ideally including DORA and BaFin

• Experience working in or with Financial Services firms

• Familiarity with first-line risk activities and working with technical teams

• Fluent in German and English

• Enthusiastic about joining a growing function and contributing to building something from the ground up
