Security Market Report 2014

Our 2014 Market Report combines our review of the prevailing conditions in the security recruitment market together with the results of our 2014 employer survey. We look to analyse and discuss the latest trends in the security recruitment market. The results of the survey together with our own experience allow us to report that confidence has returned. There is strong demand in the security recruitment market and for many of those looking to recruit, there is a shortage of security practitioners with the abilities and experience they require. 
  • 76% of security managers do not believe their department is sufficiently resourced for the demands that are made on it.   
  • Finding candidates with the right interpersonal skills is a greater challenge than finding those with the right technical skills.
  • 59% of security managers report they have found it difficult to recruit.
  • 72% of security departments will either definitely need to recruit or are likely to recruit in 2014.
