Security – Compensation and Market Trends Report 2013

 Our 2013 Mid-Year Report combines a review of the prevailing conditions in the security  recruitment market with the results of a comprehensive compensation survey covering both permanent and contract security practitioners. The results of the survey together with our own experience allows us to report that in spite of tight corporate cost controls, confidence and prospects in the security recruitment market are improving. We hope you will find the conclusions interesting.   

  • The rate of placements made in the security recruitment market improved by over 20% in the first six months of 2013.
  • Whilst averages are made up of a wide range of individual experiences, the average increase for security practitioners risk managers changing jobs is currently 14% whilst the average increase for those staying with their existing employer is 4%.
  • 34% of security practitioners surveyed had changed employer in the last 12 months. This cannot be considered representative of all security practitioners but is up compared to a year ago.
