Risk Management Market Report 2016

Our 2016 Market Report combines our review of the prevailing conditions in the risk management recruitment market together with the results of our latest employer survey. We look to analyse and discuss the latest trends in the risk management recruitment market. Although many banks are demonstrating caution as they rationalise, taking the risk recruitment market as a whole, the outlook for 2016 is positive. The majority of demonstrably competent risk management professionals entering the recruitment market in 2016 with realistic expectations should not be disappointed.   

  • 55% of risk managers do not believe their department is sufficiently resourced for the demands made upon it. (Up from 53% last year)
  • 21% of risk departments report their recruitment budget has increased.
  • 62% of risk departments recruited or attempted to recruit externally in the last six months of 2015. (Down from 69% last year)
  • 83% of risk departments anticipate they will need to recruit in 2016.
