Mid Year Market Report 2012

This is the 22nd year we have produced market reports reviewing and analysing recruitment trends in corporate governance. This mid-year report looks at the year to date and offers insights into how the recruitment market may develop for the rest of 2012 and beyond.

There are six specialist reports, which are completely free to read online or download:

If you have problems accessing the reports or would like to comment on or discuss any aspect of them, please call 020 7936 2601. We very much value professional reaction to the reports.

Each of the reports contains a summary as well as the detailed content, but to give you a very brief snapshot of the overall picture for corporate governance recruitment:

The corporate governance recruitment market remains delicately balanced between the need for companies to recruit and their reluctance to invest.  Recruitment is a form of investment and investment is based on confidence. Unfortunately the Eurozone crisis is currently totally undermining confidence.

Whilst companies are still recruiting and the careers of corporate governance practitioners advancing, it is difficult to see a return to anything like historic growth and recruitment patterns, until a solution to the Eurozone problem is found. With many believing that the situation could get worse, a solution is not imminent.
