Legal Market Report 2015

Our 2015 Market Report combines our review of the prevailing conditions in the in-house legal recruitment market together with the results of our 2015 employer survey. We look to analyse and discuss the latest trends in the in-house legal recruitment market. The results of the survey together with our own experience allow us to report that the legal recruitment market is now more buoyant than at anytime since the financial crisis. There is strong demand for lawyers and for many of those looking to recruit, there is a shortage of candidates with the abilities and experience they require. 
  • 54% of in-house legal departments believe they do not have sufficient resources for the demands that are made on them. 
  • 66% of legal departments have recruited or attempted to recruit externally in the last six months of 2014. 
  • 93% of departments anticipate they will need to recruit in 2015.
  • Business growth and development will be the key recruitment driver in 2015.
