VP Liquidity Risk Specialist

  • Location: London
  • Salary: Up to £110,000 + bonus and benfits
  • Job type: Permanent
  • Job reference: KQ/169589
  • Sector: Banking
Job Description

A leading European Investment Bank is seeking a VP liquidity risk candidate to work with a highly-regarded Director on the build-out and development of the function.

Historically the team has had a stress testing and model validation focus, however this heavy-hitting Director has been brought in to reform the function, expand its remit and add power to the second line.

Because of this, the bank would like to bring in an entrepreneurial VP who is able to come up with innovative ways of approaching process reforms and helping him to build out the function.

As part of the strengthening of the second line, the new team will be involved in more direct engagement with the business and drive strategic initiatives.

People in this team will need to understand drivers, know how to mitigate risk whilst optimising business requirements.

They will be responsible for setting the group risk appetite for liquidity risk, designing liquidity stress testing scenarios and defining frameworks.  The team will also continue to continue to operate as an independent risk function, providing challenge to the first line, and performing deep dives.

The function is growing, and changing and as a result, there are lots of interesting initiatives that a new incumbent can become involved in.

The bank is looking to kick-off interviews early next week, so the role sounds like it could be of interest, please reach out to Katy Quicke at Barclay Simpson for more information.
