The Company

A sustainable focused Japanese investment Bank with a Global presence. The Supplier Assurance/TPRM team, as part of the Procurement function sits within the wider Finance & Control area of the Strategic Planning Department.  It’s looking to bring in procurement best practices as well as contributing to the increase of the bank’s profitability by optimising its cost base.  One of the main functions is to select and manage third party suppliers to ensure the business is protected against commercial, operational and regulatory risk whilst delivery value for money for budget holders.

The Role

You will be supporting the Procurement function with intra-group and external Third-party Risk.
Reporting on and leading workstreams related to third party risk management.
Provide 1LoD governance and oversight of the SMFD TPRM outsource service
Ability to lead in a matrixed cross-functional environment, and work collaboratively .
Provide regulatory and strategic project support to the F&C Procurement – TPRM Manager
Support with delivery of engagements, engagements include; nourishing relationships between clients and their third party vendors, set up contracts externally and support the full life cycle from charges, billings, monitoring, assurance & governance over suppliers.
Maintaining strong relationships with clients, senior stakeholders and other areas of the business. Support junior member of staff conducting work.
Being aware and up to date of regulatory updates and changes and factoring this into your everyday work. Understanding products, product changes, business processes and process changes.

As the ideal candidate you will have …

Previous Third-Party Risk Management/Outsourcing in banking industry
Experience or exposure in working with procurement function on third party risk assessment
Familiarity with TPRM systems and workflows
Experience of engaging with Senior Management and all functions to foster a strong resilient risk culture and  experience managing dialogues with regulators.
The confidence to challenge the status quo whilst educating complexed ideas in layman’s terms to keep all parties on side.
Strong written and verbal skills
