Job Description
This public sector organisation is seeking their first dedicated security professional to act as a central point of expertise and coordination for managing Security. The role is hugely varied with excellent exposure and high visibility at Executive level, given the investment the organisation is currently making into Security.
Responsibilities include:
Implementation of Cyber Essentials Plus
Adoption of a Zero Trust Approach
Developing and implementing an Information Security Management System
Managing the SIEM system
Governance, risk, compliance
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in the technical elements of information security management. Security governance skills are beneficial, but not required, as training is offered. Experience of Linux is a pre-requisite (Windows experience alone is not sufficient).
You may have your ITIL certification already or, if not, the organisation will sponsor this if appropriate.
This role offers a good mix of both technical and governance work, along with excellent senior level exposure and the opportunity to lead on new implementations and projects.
