Systemic Risk Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Systemic Risk Manager to join a leading Financial Institution based in London. You will have a pivotal role in formalising and establishing the systemic risk framework, its processes, reporting and engagement model with external stakeholders and ecosystem participants. This role is to support the CRO and Head of Systemic Risk.

 

The Job:

  • Identify emerging systemic risks and develop mitigating actions in partnership with internal and external subject matter experts.
  • Provide thought leadership in developing industry wide solutions to address systemic risk issues including, funding, liquidity, resilience, failure management, recovery and resolution.
  • Provide input to risk assessments for new and existing products and services.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Develop risk bilateral schedule in collaboration with Product and Sales.
  • Development of analytics and reporting of systemic risk metrics.
  • Facilitate and contribute to the Enterprise Risk Management framework and reporting.
  • Enhancing and maintaining a system of internal controls.
  • Monitoring and oversight from 2LOD.
  • Assisting with the monitoring of volatility and relevant market developments.
  • Assisting in the development of the crisis management framework, documentation and education.

 

Your Experience:

  • Strong and demonstrable background working within the Financial Services sector.
  • Experience working either within Treasury, Liquidity Risk, Balance Sheet/Asset Liability Management, Operational Risk or Credit Risk.
  • Experience in establishing risk frameworks and the on-going processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate effectively to audience with varying levels of subject matter expertise.
  • Some experience directly engaging with and interacting with regulators, either from a policy or supervisory perspective.
