SMCR Compliance specialist

My client is an investment bank based in central London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team at a top investment bank. They are looking to hire a regulatory change compliance officer who has specialised in the senior manager certification regime (SMCR). They are open to considering candidates from all financial services not just investment banking.

Location: central London, Hybrid working 2 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update SMR documentation, processes, and regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure current understanding of SMR matters and prepare related reports.
  • Keep Management Responsibilities Map and Statements of Responsibilities up to date.
  • Manage all SMF documentation including job descriptions, Reasonable Steps, and training materials.
  • Prepare SMF regulatory filings and reports for senior management.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and propose necessary changes.
  • Support the SMR Manager with training and guidance for stakeholders.


  • Experience with Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).
  • Knowledge of SMCR regulations and banking compliance.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve routine problems.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Higher Diploma, qualification, or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
