The Division

 

This role sits in the legal & compliance division which have merged as of 2018. Compliance was established in 2001 and legal was established in 2008. Over the last few years both have been 2 of the biggest billing teams globally.

 

The Legal & Compliance team is currently 6 strong with 3 focused on the legal side. The legal team has recruited from NQ up to GC level with average fees coming in around £20,000 +. We are one of the leading names in the banking and wider FS market and solely focus on in house recruitment.

 

We are tier 1 suppliers to the likes of Barclays, HSBC, Santander, MUFG and many others but work with a huge variety of clients.

 

The team is looking to expand over the next 12 months with budget for 3-4 additional hires so this an excellent time to join the team.

 

 

The Role

 

The role will be based in the London office and will report into the Head of the division. This can be hired at Consultant or Senior Consultant grade depending on the person. This is a new hire being driven by market demands and will see the person joining given a mix of very warm accounts as well as an area to develop.

 

Traditionally the team has made the majority of their NFI from banking and that will be the focus of this desk so whoever joins will benefit from an excellent name in the market and a network to match.

 

The role will require someone who can manage a 360 desk, juggling multiple roles as well as further developing their part of the market. This role will work alongside this years’ top global biller who works on legal and last years top UK biller on the compliance side.

 

The role will require a mix of account management for the larger accounts that will form part of the desk and business development to bring on more work. The minimum expectations for the desk are £180,000 per annum with a very realistic hope of billing north of £240,000.

 

The focus of the desk will initially be billing only but depending on the level of the person who joins and speed of development, management is very possible in the future.

 

 

The Candidate

 

This can be Consultant or Senior Consultant level and we are looking for someone who already has experience of recruiting legal professionals within financial services, although other transferable backgrounds will definitely be considered.

 

It is vital you have experience of running a 360 desk and are comfortable dealing with both candidates & clients.

 

We need people to be motivated, engaged and able to quickly hit the ground running but can provide training on most technical areas of the job.
