Job Description

My client as an established, privately owned Private Bank based in the City of London. They have a unique brand, history and structure and have been owned by the same family since the 17th century. They are looking to hire an experienced senior credit risk manager to report directly into the head of credit risk who will provide independent and objective oversight to ensure the bank's lending portfolio is managed and accurately reported.

The jobholder will take responsibility for undertaking in depth risk assessments of existing and new customer lending proposals and will either approve (within limits) transactions or present them to credit committee.

Furthermore, the role will involve the development and evaluation of portfolio monitoring tools to provide accurate and detailed analysis to the banks senior management, committees and board. 

An understanding of private banking, regulated mortgages to HNWI (ideally evidenced by a CeMAP qualification) as well as non regulated commercial banking is required, Proven experience of assessing and approving complex HNWI and commercial lending propositions is mandatory.

Experience of assessing commercial property, commercial lending and non-performing assets is also essential.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills. strong attention to detail and organisational skills and attention to detail and be a good negotiator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
