Job Description

My client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst who will be a Risk SME (subject matter expert) in credit risk statistical analysis and who will develop financial models. These models are used to predict how the bank’s portfolios will respond to changes in the economy, particularly an economic stress.

As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, your main responsibilities will be

  • Managing development projects
  • Assisting with on-going evolution of development standards
  • Demonstrating ownership of credit risk models ensuring all governance processes are followed
  • Creating and managing partnerships with the local business units
  • Translating complex technical issues with clear explanations where the structure output and limitations of the model are well understood

Minimum skills and experience required

  • Proven experience within a credit risk statistical analysis role of similar complexity and scale where you have led and delivered on multiple complex projects and initiatives
  • Ability to explain complex financial and credit risk issues with the ability to influence senior management
  • Proven experience using SAS or SQL along with excellent numerical skills
