Job Description

My client is an international corporate and investment bank and they are looking to hire a senior credit officer with demonstrable sanctioning skills to cover a portfolio of diversified UK corporates in the mid to large cap space.

 

Scope of Responsibilities

 

  • Make independent credit decisions on the basis of a close understanding of the clients’ business models and industry evolutions
  • Ensure proximity to Coverage / Business Line teams, and awareness of their strategy and products
  • Animate credit committees around risk anticipations and credit issues to be investigated
  • Write concise, clear and comprehensive credit committee minutes
  • Ensure that the credit processes comply with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Be accountable for the credit monitoring of the assigned portfolio of corporate clients, including watchlist detection and follow-up, impairments of defaulted assets
  • Perform some data quality control
