Job Description

Permanent role based in Taunton, Somerset

Salary: Negotiable based on skills and experience, plus bonus, plus major employer benefits (circa £50,000 - £70,000)

 

A well regarded Health Insurer are currently looking for a Senior Compliance Assurance Manager. This is a rare opportunity which has arisen within The Compliance Team which is part of the Legal and Compliance Department who manage Regulatory and Compliance matters across the Group, as well as its Appointed Representatives. The main responsibilities include:

  • complying, assimilating, disseminating practice in all FCA and ICO regulatory matters and, maintaining the Compliance Manual in accordance with all regulatory body affairs and advising on legislation ensuring compliance is pragmatic, consistent and documented;
  • complying with the PRA’s and FCA’s Insurance Conduct Standards for individuals performing a key function, and to meet the fit and proper standards as prescribed under the Regulatory Regime;
  • organising, attending, preparing and distributing relevant papers for the Risk Committee and Compliance Monitoring Group, to act as Secretary to those meetings and play an active part in meetings or other relevant activities providing support towards the business aim and remaining professional to external bodies;
  • acting as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer ensuring that effective anti-money laundering processes are maintained, documented and personal knowledge of money laundering is kept consistently up to date by completing regulatory training to ensure skills are up to date;
  • creating, delivering and providing training to advise staff on financial crime, compliance and regulatory issues and assisting in investigations with Group Legal.

 

About you

You will need to be passionate about working within a healthcare company and have the ability to provide clear written documents surrounding regulatory requirements and training. You will need to have excellent attention to detail, be able to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines and to produce work to a high standard. You will be educated to degree standard or hold a relevant professional qualification and have a minimum of two years experience of working in a senior regulated financial position.
