Security Architect – Part time

Part-time Security Architect needed for leading financial services firm. The role will be centred on facilitating and providing security assurance for a Data centre to AWS & Azure cloud migration. Please note this engagement will be on an ad hoc basis and the project will require your input a varying amount, this will change depending on project requirements.

Outline of the role:

• Assist with solutions design & migrations strategy
• Provide security assurance for migration (risk, regulatory, best practice, testing etc.)
• Providing vision and direction for our roadmap for cloud migration security architecture
• Ensuring alignment of technologies to the prescribed target security architecture
• Development and embedding of standards and patterns for common security problems across the migration
• Drive simplification of the security technology estate
• Monitoring the changing threat and security technology landscape to ensure our information security practices remain up-to-date, effective, and continually improving
• Predicting future trends and emerging threats
• Embedding future trends and emerging threats into the group Target Architecture and Roadmap
• Assessing new and existing strategic products and systems to identify weaknesses in information security approach and creating improvement plans where required
• Ensuring alignment of security technologies to the group risk appetite
• Assist with delivery requirements and provide security consultancy when required

As an ideal candidate, you will have an industry certification such as TOGAF/SABSA & CISSP/CISM/CRISC and have expert knowledge of cloud security (AWS & Azure) and data centre migration. You will also have a proven track record of delivery in a similar role. Experience within financial services is highly advantageous.
