Job Title: Regulatory Governance Manager

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Regulatory Governance in addressing ad-hoc technical queries concerning prudential and regulatory reporting. You will also lead the delivery of the Pillar 3 disclosure process, produce materials for the Regulatory Governance Committee, and embed change into and improve the efficiency of the existing regulatory reporting process. Furthermore, you will support the implementation of new regulatory reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Regulatory Governance to address ad-hoc technical queries with regard to prudential and regulatory reporting, ensuring alignment with documented policy and regulatory reporting submissions.
  • Lead the delivery of Pillar 3 disclosures relevant to a large and listed institution while improving production and formatting.
  • Contribute to the delivery of regulatory reporting deep dives by implementing change into regulatory reporting workbooks.
  • Provide input on relevant regulatory reporting project work, proactively supporting the MI and Projects Team with building and testing new reports.
  • Provide ad hoc cover within BAU regulatory reporting activities.
  • Support in the production of materials for the Regulatory Governance Committee and prepare ad-hoc papers.
  • Scope and carry out detailed testing activities, including the review of documentation and technical validation using Excel and VBA.
  • Maintain a close relationship with stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Capital markets, Risk, Credit risk, and Change.
  • Be a key contributor on the journey for IRB accreditation.
  • Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation’s Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day-to-day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.

  • Maintain the company’s compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory online training modules and attestations.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of previous experience working in Treasury, Finance or Risk within retail banking is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in understanding and interpreting regulatory policy is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in analysing and processing large volumes of data is essential.
  • Previous experience in interacting with senior stakeholders is essential.
  • Previous experience in carrying out detailed testing activities and carrying out technical validation is essential.
  • Previous experience in implementing regulatory change is essential.
  • Experience of writing policy and framework documents is essential.
  • Previous experience of delivering Pillar 3 disclosures is desirable.
  • Experience of IRB regulatory models and reporting requirements is desirable.
  • Experience in change management processes is desirable.
