Job Description

Barclay Simpson has been exclusively engaged to partner with one of the largest banks globally to find their UK MLRO and Head of Financial Crime for their Invesment Bank to lead a technically strong and culturally diverse team. In this role, you will be responsible for the usual responsibilities of an MLRO, including, but not limited to:

- providing expert advice and support across the UK Business in relation to financial crime risk queries
- leading the UK Financial Crime team to embed a strong compliance culture, and ensure there are robust policies and frameworks set in place
- co-ordinate and own the assessment and monitoring of financial crime risks across AML, ABC, Sanctions 

Due to the number of applications at this time both myself and the client are receiving, we will only consider the most relevant profiles with the following experience:

- technically strong and demonstrable up-to-date understanding of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing requirements, such as 5MLD, in a corporate or investment bank
- leading a large team of financial crime professionals, driving development and performance
- broad understanding of financial products across Fixed Income instruments, as well as capital markets structuring and financing
