Legal Counsel – Oil & Gas (4 days p/week)

Job Description

Our client is a major energy firm, looking to recruit an experienced legal consultant (c. 6+PQE) with upstream oil & gas experience to assist with a range of duties; including LOGIC contracts.

 

The role will be varied, covering a range of oil and gas contracts  associated with supply chain, maintenance, construction, procurement and gas processing work.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Meet day-to-day legal support requirements.

  • Lead the provision of legal support to specific commercial projects.

  • Coordinate external legal advice where required and manage external legal counsel.

  • Provision of legal support for offers for third party gas and condensate processing opportunities, including negotiating Construction and Tie-In Agreements, and Processing and Operating Services Agreements

  • Draft and negotiate other legal documentation to reflect business requirements, including confidentiality arrangements, heads of terms and credit security documents

     

    You should be a qualified lawyer (c. 6+ PQE) with experience across upstream oil & gas.  You should be familiar with LOGIC suite of contracts and be skilled in drafting and stakeholder management.
