Investment Risk Senior Analyst

My client is a mid-sized pension fund in London with a broad asset base including fixed income, equities and real assets. The fund operates both direct investments and fund of fund approach. The Head of Investment Risk has over 25 years experience and is both technical and commercial. His team of 5 operates closely with the fund managers to add true value to the business and is looking for an Investment Risk Analyst to join the team.

 

The role:

Daily interaction with fund managers to have oversight over investment risks which include liquidity, market, counterparty, valuation, concentration, thematic and macro risks.

Accountability for reviewing and implementing models and frameworks which include sensitivities, stress testing, VaR and attribution.

Successful candidates will contribution to policy, framework, systems and processes. To provide effective challenge and collaboration with the investment function to ensure investments are consistent with guidelines budgets and limits.

 

The candidates:

Proven experience in an investment risk role

Strong quantitative capability, understanding risk limits and monitoring approaches.

Ability to code in Python and be an advanced excel user

Effective communication working with both senior management and Portfolio Managers

 

Flexibility:

Candidates will be expected to work 2 days or more in the office.
