Job Description

An exceptional opportunity has become available due to an internal restructure with a leading buy side client of ours. The role will be responsible for Investment Risk oversight and will have a focus on the multi-asset product set. The successful candidate will have close interaction with the portfolio managers and the business. The role will report to the Head of Investment Risk who reports into the Chief Risk Officer in the second line of defence.

Candidates must have previous experience in an Investment Risk role from either a Hedge Fund or Asset Management firm. Candidates would be expected to:

  1. Be familiar with VaR methodology; historical simulation, VCV or Montecarlo
  2. Have derivative knowledge and be able to discuss the sensitivities/Greeks
  3. Be experience with basic coding in VBA; experience in R or Python would be a bonus
  4. Have strong communication skills and be comfortable challenging portfolio managers and presenting to senior management.
