Job Description
My client is an award winning international Asset Manager looking to hire a Senior Operational Risk Manager for their office in Dublin. This is a hands-on newly created role which will have DP responsibilities.

This company covers a wide range of strategies, including private equity, real estate and hedge funds; as well as equity, fixed income, and multi -asset class.
The Role:
- This person will act as subject matter expert for all Operational Risk and Resilience Matters.
- They will be the main point of contact between local and global business functions on operational risk topics.
- Responsible for the execution of the operational risk and resilience framework.
- Manage, maintain and embed the Operational Risk Framework; covering all existing and new product strategies.
- Identify and investigate Operational Risk events, ensuring root cause analysis; completing deep dive reviews.
- Identification and management of operational risk issues. Identify and make recommendations on gaps in the control framework.
- Participate in the European ICAAP; maintain the Operational Risk Register.
- Candidates must be able to challenge and coordinate front-to back business management.
- Regular board and senior management engagement.
- Be the point of contact for regulatory inquiries
Operational Resilience:
Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Third Party Risk Management, Cyber Risk Management, Business Impact Analysis and Operational resilience.
Requirements:
- University Degree is essential.
- Proven knowledge of governance requirements; CP86
- Demonstrated experience working in an Asset Management/Investment Management firm within an Operational Risk or Internal Audit Capacity (Minimum 5 years).
- Hands on experience developing, designing and improving Operational Risk Frameworks.
- Understanding of Equity, Fixed Income, and Alternative Investment Products is desirable (UCITS, AIFs).
- Demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues across all levels.
- High degree of initiative, and proven experience influencing senior management.
- Solid understanding of Third Party Risk, Cyber Risk Management.
