Head of Legal and Compliance

 

One of Barclay Simpson’s exciting FinTech clients is searching for a Head of Legal and Compliance to head up the regulatory relationships, compliance development and support the business development function for the newly created Dutch entity.

 

The company is growing extensively and this role will allow for great international collaboration with the London based compliance team, COO and CFO to provide input and advice into business growth and strategic development. The role will support a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters, as well as help to define the regulatory controls and processes in The Netherlands. You will also play a pivotal role in developing relationships with the regulator.

 

In this role you will be expected to have experience of the FinTech environment or to come from a start-up organisation. It is a truly ambitious, fast paced and fast growing organisation who will need someone with the professional ambition and ability to help progress in this role as market coverage increases.

 

We are searching for:

 

  • Experienced legal professional with more at least 4 years of experience
  • Knowledge of financial services / FinTech / start-up environment
  • Strong contract and commercial law experience
  • Knowledge of regulation and financial crime topics
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Willing to travel (London) around 10-15% of your time
