Head of Financial Crime Risk

My global retail banking client is looking for an experienced Financial Crime specialist to lead their Financial Crime Risk and Standards Office in Norway. The role will be part of a large and growing team within Norway that handles Financial Crime risk and defines Financial Crime standards and instructions in collaboration with other parts of the Norwegian and global team. The role will manage a team of high performing professionals, and working on hands on projects in order to achieve mission critical objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuous team and stakeholder management
• Creation, maintenance and review of Financial Crime policies, procedures, controls and best practice processes
• Follow up on assessment of risks of money laundering and terrorist financing in relation to the client organisation.
• Coordinate and follow up on identified Financial Crime risks and questions in accordance with structures, policies and procedures
• Work as a 2nd in command for the Head of 1st Line Financial Crime Compliance in Norway, executing tasks on behalf of the Norwegian entity.

You will have:

• High levels of emotional intelligence
• proven leadership experience and a collaborative approach to management
• Strong experience within the financial crime compliance and/or Risk associated with it.
• Fluency in English and Norwegian – both spoken and written
• Most of all, you will have a thirst for knowledge, a curious and inquisitive nature and a desire to add value to your role and that of your wider team.
