Group Internal Controls Manager

Barclay Simpson have been engaged by a FTSE-listed commercial business who are expanding their established global Internal Controls function with the recruitment of a new Group Internal Controls Manager. This role has excellent promotion opportunities so would be an ideal role for someone making their 1st or 2nd move from Big 4/Top 10 practice with Internal Controls/SOx controls experience, or an experienced Internal Controls professional looking to make their next step forwards. This role will require you to work from the London office 2 days/week.

Reporting directly into the Group Head of Internal Controls, you will play a critical role in project managing UK SOx readiness activities for the business and formalising controls at an entity-level. You will drive maturity into the Internal Controls Framework by looking for opportunities to increase control automation, and facilitate the activities of regional Internal Controls teams when implementing controls into newly acquired businesses. You will also own key relationships with Regional CEOs, Finance Directors & IT Directors to embed a strong control environment across the global business.

You will hold a relevant qualification (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CPA), preferably from Big 4/Top 10 practice, looking to make your 1st or 2nd move into industry or an experienced Internal Controls/SOx professional. You must have Internal Controls/SOx experience and be able to articulate the benefits of a strong controls environment to senior stakeholders. You must have excellent communication skills and influencing skills. You must have full eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

The salary package on offer is up to £73,000 + £5,000 car allowance + 25%-50% bonus + benefits.
