 Job Description:

As the Financial Crime Data Specialist you will be working as a conduit between technical systems development/engineering teams and the central financial crime prevention unit, providing translation of technical blueprints to the FCP teams and leading them in the development of their target operating model.

 

Responsibilities:

 

You will be responsible for providing guidance to key stakeholders across the Retail bank on all financial crime systems and new technical tools that the bank are developing to aid financial crime prevention. You will also work independently identify further capability enhancements within these existing systems and identifying opportunities to use alternative tools available across the market. As well as this you support group transformation teams on the design and implementation of all new tools within this area.


Requirements:

 

  • Strong understanding of anti-money laundering directives and active legislation within the United Kingdom and the European Union.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical business documents into clear information for senior stakeholders.
  • Proven technical foundation, ideally with exposure to tools such as SQL & SAS.
  • Experience developing anti-financial crime strategies, frameworks and controls.
  • Ability to think laterally to prevent financial crime.
  • Ideally an understanding of retail banking sector and practical experience of applying 1st LOD controls within this environment.
