Financial Controls Specialist

An exciting opportunity to join the new Internal Controls function of an established FTSE-listed Insurance business. This is a senior role which is ideal for an ambitious qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) from Big 4/Top 10 practice with Insurance sector exposure who wants to progress their career in Internal Controls or explore future opportunities in areas such as Finance, Treasury and Capital Management. You will be required to go into the London or Surrey office 2 days/week.

Following the recent documentation of all Internal Controls, you will independently work with senior stakeholders to test the design & operational effectiveness of controls relating to Financial Reporting and Solvency II. You will identify any control gaps then propose efficient solutions to remediate any deficiencies as well as promote control & process improvements. This may require you to redesign controls and processes as required. You will also assist the Head of Financial Controls in preparing for quarterly Audit Committee reporting.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) from Big 4 or Top 10 practice, either from an External Audit or Controls Advisory background. Exposure to the Insurance sector and understanding of Solvency II is essential. You must have a sound understanding of Internal Controls.

The salary package is up to £85,000 + bonus (up to 30%) + private medical insurance + benefits.
