Data Privacy Business Partner

My client are a global data, analytics and technology company in search of a Privacy Business Partner to provide expert data protection regulatory support, guidance and oversight across the UK business.

You will sit in a team where you will oversee the UK Privacy Program, ensuing you help the company and its subsidiaries comply with the requirements of applicable Privacy laws, enhancing the privacy maturity and support revenue growth though delivery and development of privacy capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Privacy Director in overseeing the Privacy and Data Protection strategy (including the UK Privacy Program) and its implementation.
  • Support the development, implementation and maintenance of the suite of privacy and data protection policies, standards, standard operating procedures (SoPs).
  • Work in collaboration with different business areas to conduct or facilitate privacy related assessments, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Transfer Risk Assessments (TRAs) and Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs).
  • Advise the Data Governance team in the development and maintenance of the Data Inventory, Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), Data Retention Standards, and Data Minimisation approaches.

About you:

  • Operational privacy experience, including: privacy processes development/improvement; policy suite development and maintenance; incident management; privacy related assessments.
  • Good working knowledge and application of the requirements of the applicable privacy laws and regulations.
  • Exposure to conducting privacy assurance reviews, controls testing, recommending appropriate mitigations, and tracking them through completion.
  • Experience in or exposure to working on regulatory matters involving the ICO and/or the FCA.
