Job Description

Our client is a global banking group looking for a Corporate Affairs lawyer to lead a newly created team. This is a very exciting time to join them as they are integrating 2 separate entities into having a standardised corporate affairs set of policies and processes. The team will also be involved in creating, from scratch the same policies and processes for the Brexit entities based in the Netherlands and France.

They are looking for a qualified lawyer to work in a non-transactional role to support agenda papers, take board minutes, ensure correct corporate filings & dealing with changes in governance papers. As a team leader you will need to ensure the steps and processes are properly tracked and monitored as well as kept up to date.

The ideal candidate will have experience of both private practice and in house and genuinely enjoy the detail oriented nature of a role like this. Exposure to the particulars of financial services will also be vital. They are happy to consider foreign qualified lawyers but will not be in position to sponsor and all applicants will need to have experience of the UK regulatory environment.

This is a rare opportunity to join a newly formed team that has moved entirely within the legal team and actually build it from scratch in terms of processes, policies etc. Integrating 2 separate entities and supporting newly created European entities will provide an interesting cross border element to the role.

This is a mid/senior level role with management responsibility so gravitas, communication and leadership will all be key skills.

If you are interested in discussing this further please contact Tom Boulderstone on for further information or submit your CV for consideration.
