Job Description

My client, a global insurance firm have a new vacancy for a Compliance Monitoring Specialist. This role sits in the second line and focuses on providing assurance to the business through thematic reviews, tracking actions, reporting and helping the business to understand compliance issues. This role will sit in the Brighton office, with a degree of flexibility to work from home.


Reporting into the Senior Operational Risk & Compliance Monitoring Specialist and sitting in a team of 8, your main responsibilities will be:

Compliance monitoring/ operational risk reviews 
Reporting on findings and present to management 
Ensure compliance with local and overseas regulators, as well as codes and internal policies
Carrying out assurance activities 
Collating and analysing business/management information 
Liaising with all levels of the business

Requirements:

Compliance monitoring experience, and the ability to scope a review
Proven experience of dealing with challenging situations and stakeholders
Insurance experience preferred, but open to a variety of financial services backgrounds
Compliance qualifications preferred e.g International Compliance Association Governance, Risk & Compliance Diploma

Salary: up to £53,000 + bonus
