Compliance Advisor VP

My client is a global investment and corporate banking firm. They have had their best financial year and rewarded their compliance team extremely well. They have a few maternity leaves creating an extra headcount. They are looking to hire on a permanent basis a Compliance advisory VP to assist the second line of defence function and provide oversight and support in the management of conduct risk. You will make sure adequate controls are in place for the first line.

This will interestingly cover both Private Side and Public side advice. You can either come from a public or private side advisory background and will be exposed to both in this role. They are looking for their advisory officers to be a generalist. This makes this opportunity unique to most siloed roles on the market.

To provide senior advisory coverage across the private side and public side businesses, with a specific focus on Corporate & Investment Bank, Structured Finance, Derivatives Solutions Group and the Structured Solutions Group or within the public side, sales and trading front office.

You must have relevant compliance experience within a Front Office advisory role in an investment banking organisation.

You must have some experience/understanding of the below

• • Strong understanding and knowledge of capital markets, structured finance and other investment banking products, including loans, bonds and structured finance.
  • Strong knowledge of risk, compliance and controls.
  • Strong understanding of key regulations applicable to capital markets products, including MiFID II, MAR, Competition Law
  • Be a key contributor and advisor across a number of regulations to the public side businesses e.g. Volcker Dodd F, MiFID, FX Code etc.

The salary on offer is up to £100,000 with an extremely good bonus.

They operate a hybrid model of working.
