Job Description

A qualified and experienced ICSA qualified company secretary is sought by this major financial services group.

Reporting to the Head of Company Secretariat, the Company Secretary will work in a team of company secretaries and assistant company secretaries with responsibility for a portfolio of subsidiaries and governance committees. The role will involve driving good standards of corporate governance and efficiently delivering company secretarial compliance in a complex regulatory environment. Additionally, the role will involve participation in and leading governance, regulatory and change projects working in conjunction with a variety of functions across the business.

You will be a technically highly skilled company secretary with a sound understanding of the importance of good governance in the context of wider economic, political, regulatory and cultural influences affecting the financial services industry. The role will utilise your strong communication and inter-personal skills both within the team, working with peers and leaders and developing more junior staff, and more widely with senior executives within the business and external directors.
