As the Banks Risk team continues to grow they are looking for 3 more Risk Partners to join their 1LOD. With a generous pension, base salary & work life balance this is a great opportunity. Operates a Hybrid working situation, option to work from London or Manchester office.

Your Job

You will play an integral part within the Line 1, operational risk function in Business oversight. Daily activities will include…

  • Providing support for their own risk portfolio which will be managed in accordance with the Operational Risk Management Framework and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures
  • Embedding the Operational risk framework. Identify gaps and ways to improve processes & feeding back tp 2LOD.
  • Chairing Monthly Risk Forums with various business functions and other key stakeholders.
  • Providing robust management of risk, by working closely with the line 1 business teams, conducting risk identification, spotlight reviews, and assessment workshops.
  • Delivering insights on second line reviews to senior stakeholders and delivering communication on how a strong risk culture is an integral part of the business.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders and other areas of the business.
  • Being aware and up to date of regulatory updates and changes and factoring this into your everyday work. Understanding products, product changes, business processes and process changes.

Your Skills

As the ideal candidate you will have …

  • Previous operational risk experience operating within a Retail Bank.
  • The ability to be think outside the box on how to improve the efficiency of the overall business.
  • The confidence to challenge the status quo whilst maintaing relationships
  • Strong written, presentation and verbal skills
